Our Legacy
Honoring our past. Celebrating our present. Building our future.
A church history worth preserving
Our story reaches back more than a century.
Antioch Christian Church has a documented property history dating to February 16, 1907, near Gordon Station in Claiborne County, Mississippi. The exact founding date of the congregation has not yet been confirmed.
Our Historical Timeline
- February 16, 1907 — Documented church property
Our previously researched county deed identifies C. A. (Chas A.) Gordon conveying a 40-by-100-foot church lot near Gordon Station to Richard Wade and Edward Brown, trustees of Antioch Church, and their successors. The document describes a church-use condition. This is a property record, not proof of Antioch's founding date.
- 1983 — Later property reference
A deed of trust from 1983 refers to the historic church tract. Further records and recollections may help fill in the years between these documents.
- Today — Continuing the story
Our church family is gathering photographs, memories, and milestones to preserve Antioch's story for future generations.
Historical references: church land and deed research packet prepared September 30, 2026. Dates and descriptions should be confirmed against official records before public launch.
